Deforest Kelley portraying Morgan Earp (far right) in 1957’s Gunfight at the O.K. Corral
Actor DeForest Kelley is best known as Dr. “Bones” McCoy on Star Trek. But he also had a number of connections to Tombstone—at least on film.
He played Ike Clanton in an episode of the TV documentary series You Are There (1955). He switched sides and was Morgan Earp in 1957’s Gunfight at the OK Corral. One Star Trek episode in 1968 did a weird spin on the gunfight in which Kelley portrayed Tom McLaury.
And in 1959, Kelley was Curley in the movie Warlock, a revisionist take on the Earps and Tombstone.
