In several Old West saloon photos, a sign hangs over a door near the bar signifying “Club Room.” What is a Club Room?

A club room was a saloon, but it could also be a social room in the establishment where political meetings or other gatherings were held.

In the early days of Flagstaff, Arizona, the town had a saloon called the “San Juan Sample and Club Room.”
