Charlie Storms is best known as an Old West gambler and gunfighter who came up on the short end of a shootout with Luke Short in Tombstone in 1881. But Storms—who was nearly 60 when he died--had been around, going to California for the Gold Rush in 1849, and later to Virginia City, Leadville, Dodge City, Deadwood, and more.
Reportedly, Storms was in Deadwood when Wild Bill Hickok was murdere
