At one point in the classic movie Shane, the hero (played by Alan Ladd) wins a brutal fistfight with several of the bad guys.
One of the baddies is listed in the credits as Rex Moore. But he’s better known as Clayton Moore—The Lone Ranger. Moore was in a salary dispute with producers of his show, so he refused to play the role (John Hart briefly put on the mask). During his season off, Moore also starred in movies like Radar Men from the Moon and Jungle Drums of Africa.
