Doctor George Goodfellow true west
Dr. George Goodfellow, 1881.

Dr. George Goodfellow is best known as the physician who treated Morgan and Virgil Earp after the OK Corral gunfight.  He was a close friend of the Earps, Doc Holliday and John Clum (although he also worked on several Cow-boys when they were sick or hurt). But his medical accomplishments went well beyond that.

He was considered the foremost authority on gunshot wounds, especially to the abdomen, developing new and successful surgical techniques of treatment.  He’s also believed to be the first physician to surgically remove enlarged and cancerous prostates.
