Jim Miller was a cool customer before he died

Jim Miller—the famed Old West assassin—met his end in Ada, Oklahoma on April 19, 1909. He and three accomplices were lynched in an old stable for the murder of a popular local rancher. Miller was calm throughout. He asked his wedding ring be given to his wife. Miller gave a diamond stickpin to his jailer, who had treated him well. He asked that his hat be placed on his head. Then Miller was swung off into eternity
