Bill Doolin and company vs. U.S. marshals.

September 1, 1893. Bill Doolin and several members of his gang are in the outlaw hangout of Ingalls (in present day Oklahoma). The boys are touching off the morning with a bit of drink and gambling in the local saloon when a US marshal’s posse rides in.

The outlaws are expecting them, but the ensuing gunfight is still wild and crazy. Three of the lawmen die as a result and several are hurt. A bystander is also killed. A few of Doolin’s men are also wounded before getting out of town.
