The Tascosa Gunfight of 1886 isn’t well-remembered today.  It involved two factions—cowboys of the LS Ranch versus men in smaller cattle operations. The two sides were in the Texas town on March 20 when an LS man was ambushed and killed.  Then the fight became general, moving throughout Tascosa.
