Ever since the only known photo of Billy the Kid sold for $2.3 million back in 2011, new purported photos of the Kid have been surfacing almost every month. One of them that got big play was the so-called Croquet Photo, found at a flea market in Fresno, California in 2010. It shows a group of people standing around a building in the country, playing croquet. A documentary on the photo ran on the NatGeo channel in October of 2015 and attempted to prove it was the real deal. The owner set the price for the tintype at $5 million.
