W.H.H. Llewellyn was a major player in the West.  In the late 1870s, he tracked down rustler Doc Middleton and his gang in Nebraska, Wyoming and the Dakotas.  He was rewarded with the job of Indian agent to the Chiricahua Apache in New Mexico.  That led to a position in the New Mexico territorial legislature. In 1896, he helped investigate the murder of his friend Albert Fountain.
