No Craven Coward Frank Canton showed guts in facing down Ben Cravens.

Lawman Frank Canton was a lot of things—but he certainly had guts.  It was May 1894, and Deputy U.S. Marshal Canton was tracking career criminal Ben Cravens.  The fugitive had already escaped twice when Canton discovered Cravens was at a cabin in the Osage Hills of Indian Territory.  Canton marched up to the door and kicked it in—and faced the outlaw, who was aiming a pistol in his direction.  But Cravens was stunned by Canton’s boldness.  The deputy got the drop on him and took Cravens into custody; this time he went to prison.
