Will McLaury

Will McLaury accepted the testimony at the OK Corral hearing.

Ike Clanton’s testimony at the OK Corral hearing was dramatic. He accused the Earps and Doc Holliday of stagecoach robbery, murder, intimidation, threats, assault, and more. At various points, he contradicted himself. Some of his points went against what Cochise County Sheriff John Behan had previously said under oath. Most people didn’t believe him. Except for prosecutor Will McLaury (photo), brother of two of the dead Cowboys. His letters from that time seem almost joyous, and he tells people that the Earps and Holliday will hang for their crimes.
