Robert LeRoy Parker sees the light in Utah.

April 13, 1866, Robert LeRoy Parker was born in Beaver, UT. He gained notoriety–infamy, really–under his alias: Butch Cassidy and a fairly substantial career on the outlaw trail. After a career of robbin’ and rustlin’ and raisin’ hell, he and compadre Harry Longabaugh (The Sundance Kid) died in San Vicente, Bolivia in 1908. It’s believed that after the pair were wounded and trapped by law enforcement, Butch shot the Kid and then turned the gun on himself. Not very romantic, eh?
