A gunfight over eggs spices up things in New Mexico Territory.

March 2, 1880. James Moorhead orders eggs in the dining room of the St. Nicholas Hotel in Las Vegas, NM. Waiter James Allen tells him the cook doesn’t have time to prepare them. They quarrel. Allen gets a gun and fatally shoots Moorhead. When the law catches up with Allen, he is setting the dining room tables for dinner. The killer ends up in jail—but a later escape attempt results in death to the former waiter.
