Samantha Fallon is one of those Tombstone characters who hasn’t gotten much attention. She arrived in town in 1879. She owned The San Jose House, Tombstone’s first boarding house, as well as a millinery shop. She built a reputation as a philanthropist, giving those in need shelter and food. Fallon also hosted Methodist women’s meetings twice per week at The San Jose House.
Reportedly, she had a close relationship with Tombstone founder Ed Schieffelin, but they married other people. Fallon later moved to California.
