Bat Masterson
Bat Masterson.

June 11, 1879, Bat Masterson and about 60 hired guns take over a railroad roundhouse in Pueblo, Colorado. They represent the Santa Fe Railroad in their fight against the Rio Grande outfit—the Royal Gorge War is a contest for control of various rail routes in Colorado. Some 50 Santa Fe men, along with local law officers, cut telegraph lines and open fire on the roundhouse. Masterson and his men escape through a back window and later surrender. Nobody is killed in the confrontation.
