Mollie Brennan is best know for being shot to death by Melvin King in Sweetwater, Texas.  Bat Masterson, wounded by the same bullet that ended Brennan’s life, then killed King.

But while little is known about Mollie, it is known that worked as a prostitute in Texas and Kansas.  In Ellsworth, she was married—but also became romantically involved with gunman Billy Thompson.  When he left the area after accidentally killing Sheriff Chauncey B. Whitney, Billy went to Texas.  Molly followed—and went to her death.
