Jesse James.

Jesse James was the son of a Baptist minister, but he obviously took a wrong path.  In September 1869, Jesse basically accepted that his faith was in question.  That month, he requested that his name be removed from the membership rolls from the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Kearney, Missouri.  Two months later, the church accepted his withdrawal “for the stated reason that he believed himself unworthy.”  Over the next few years, Jesse James would prove just how unworthy he was.
