A big moment in the OK Corral hearing.
November 7, 1881–day eight of the OK Corral hearing. Judge Wells Spicer revokes the bail of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday and orders them jailed. Morgan and Virgil Earp, confined to beds, nursing their wounds from the gunfight, are allowed to remain free.
Will McLaury’s influence is felt. For three days, since he first came to Tombstone, he has pushed his fellow prosecutors to seek for the defendants to be incarcerated. He’s faced opposition, especially from DA Lyttleton Price, who sees political problems in jailing them.
McLaury is overjoyed–and becomes overconfident.
