Ike Black and Zip Wyatt tried one robbery too many.

Ike Black and Zip Wyatt robbed their way across Oklahoma Territory in the mid 1890s. But their luck ran out after robbing the bank in Fairview, OT (picture) on June 3,1895. The posses dogged them. The outlaws led charmed lives, escaping several times when it appeared they were cornered. On August 1, they were trapped in a shack near Cantonment. A bullet struck Black in the head, killing him. Wyatt was hit in the left side of the chest but managed to escape—for three days. Wyatt died of his wound in September.
