Comanche Jack Stilwell
Comanche Jack Stilwell

A few weeks after Wyatt Earp and the Vendetta Posse killed Frank Stilwell at the Tucson depot in March 1882, the dead man’s brother “Comanche Jack” Stilwell came to Arizona.  The noted scout and Indian fighter was there to close his brother’s affairs and find out why he was killed. There were rumors that he planned to have it out with the Earps.

But after some investigation, Jack discovered that Frank was accused of being a stage robber and murderer.  That may have changed his mind. Stilwell returned to Oklahoma without confronting Earp.
