Unsuited for the Occasion

A Western prospector had big dreams but not much else.

The rocky wilderness of the American West turned out to be the richest treasure of natural resources in the history of the civilized world. Folks by the thousands came to search for gold and silver. Many had no idea of what they were in for. A man in a dress suit was seen leaving Independence, Missouri on foot, pushing a wheelbarrow and heading for Colorado where he planned to load it with gold and walk back home. It’s likely he went home as he came—with an empty wheelbarrow.
