A Cow-Boy in Retirement

Pete Spence is best known for his time as a Cow-boy in the Tombstone time of troubles.  He may have been involved in the shooting of Virgil Earp and the killing of his brother Morgan. But in later life, Pete apparently settled down.  He worked at old pal Phin Clanton’s goat ranch south of Globe, AZ in 1906.  And after Phin died, Spence married his widow in 1910.
