Peter Brandvold has spun together an entertaining tale about a young lad, Cuno Massey, and his metamorphosis into adulthood in the Wild West.
Cuno is thrown into taking on the adult world of murder and corruption when his father and stepmother are killed in a hideous fashion by renegade outlaw Rolf Anderson. Cuno vows to avenge his father’s death and sets out on the trail to find this smarmy character. The journey begins with Cuno having no knowledge of horseback riding, very little experience handling a gun and no intimate moments with a woman. This is a riveting novel about a young man and his journey from adolescence to adulthood.
