March 2, 1867.  Six robbers enter a private bank in Savannah, Missouri.  One shoots the bank owner, and then the group flees as citizens open fire on them.  The haul: $0. At least some sources say the outlaws were members of the James-Younger Gang.  But there’s no evidence that anybody associated with that outlaw outfit participated in the Savannah debacle.  There’s plenty of evidence that Jesse and the boys were in other parts on that day.  It just got to the point that every robbe
