Visit Fort Concho in March and enjoy two special programs, either as a participant or just as an observer. The annual Frontier Ladies Living History Symposium takes place on Thursday-Sunday, March 10-13 as several dozen living historians discuss Victorian era food, clothing, culture, manners, and events as they occurred on the western military frontier. On the following week, March 18-20, the fort hosts the annual Artillery Training Course that certifies living history volunteers for safe demonstration/blank firing of artillery pieces like cannon, mortars, and howitzers.
