January 13, 1929. Wyatt Earp dies in Los Angeles at the age of 80. The next day, the Arizona Daily Star has front page coverage. Okay, they get some facts wrong (including his age). And they extensively quote Billy Breakenridge, which Wyatt would have hated. Still, he hadn’t been forgotten.
