Sopranos creator David Chase is working with HBO on a new miniseries, Ribbon of Dreams, about the early days of Hollywood. The two principal characters will be a mechanical engineer and a “cowboy with a violent past.” In the course of the series, which begins in 1913, the two will be crossing paths with John Ford, John Wayne and Raoul Walsh, and it will no doubt involve early Western film production.
