More than 1,000 people stood in the snow outside the historic Sheridan Inn on January 28 to celebrate the town being named True West’s #1 True Western Town of the Year. Local entertainers included the 7th Cavalry Drum and Bugle Corps, Fort Phil Kearny’s Frontier Regulars, Native American dancers Joe LaForge and Shelly White Bear, and the New Sheridan Cornet Band, which performed 1880s-era music for the grand finale.
