Amy Madigan, of Carnivale fame, animates “Deadwood Dick,” an 1887 account of Edward Wheeler’s night inside one of Deadwood’s wild saloons. Actress Sheila Kelley (The Sopranos) gives heart and soul to a young woman who, after being ransomed from her captors, must travel back to civilization. A game of “what if?” is played in “The Naked Gun,” a John Jakes Western read by C.S.I. actor Gary Dourdan. Hollywood meets the West on this entertaining CD. —Sandy Whiting
