In January, New Mexico celebrates its centennial. One hundred years of statehood—and they said we’d never last. State constitutions were drawn up in 1850, 1872 and 1889, but Congress rejected statehood each time. In 1910, New Mexico tried again, and residents approved a constitution on January 19
