Western these days don’t often open in the heart of the summer tentpole season; Appaloosa and 3:10 to Yuma, the two biggest Westerns of recent years, were both held back until September, when the blockbuster heat had settled a bit. Jonah Hex is the exception. On June 18, 2010, Hex will hit theaters on the same day as Toy Story 3, and it’s unlikely that anyone will confuse the two movies
