The author, who has written several books under different pen names, once again provides a decent Western romance.
After running from her troubled past, Mattie must return to face her demons in this cautionary tale of good intentions gone bad. In the end, romance cures all that is evil. Although the characters seem typical, they work well in this interesting plot.
