5. Texas Revolution, 1835-36

6. Comstock Lode discovery in 1859

7. Butterfield Overland Stage Line across the Southwest, 1858-61

8. Ashley-Henry Expedition up the Missouri River in 1822

9. William Becknell opening the Santa Fe trade in 1822

10. The first cattle drives from Texas to Kansas, circa 1866
