DEEP CREEK: Deftly written by co-authors using the pen name Dana Hand, Deep Creek is a Western Mystery Thriller based on actual events.

In 1877, thirty Chinese miners were tortured and murdered, their mutilated bodies then dumped into the Snake River in Idaho Territory. These men, employed by a Chinese company headquartered in San Francisco, panned for gold on an abandoned homestead in the mountains far from civilization. Their killers were a small band of local ranchers-turned-horse thieves, led by a terrifying psychopath.

The authors try to piece together events following the discovery of the bodies. Sleuths on the case consist of a crippled white lawman, a young Chinese investigator and a mysterious Nez Perce Indian girl tracker. Wonderfully written and filled with surprise, the story takes the reader on a suspenseful and frightening journey as three worlds collide. The characters, artfully developed, deal with prejudice, political intrigues, superstition, treachery and greed, combined with old romantic passions boiling over.

Deep Creek is a tantalizing and memorable story that will leave you thinking about it long after you turn the last page.
