Bob Olinger was Billy the Kid’s last victim, but he was also deadly himself.
In 1876, Olinger and a pal were gambling in a New Mexico saloon. The friend accused Bob of cheating and both men went for their guns. When the smoke cleared, the friend lay dead on the floor with a bullet in his throat.
Olinger didn’t seem to have any regrets over killing a friend. Reportedly, he casually remarked, “All’s well that ends well” as he walked out of the bar.
