Oriental Saloon owner Milt JoyceOriental Saloon owner Milt Joyce was one tough old bird. On October 11, 1880, Joyce beat Doc Holliday within an inch of his life after the good dentist shot one of Joyce’s bartenders in the toe and shot Joyce himself in the hand. Like many 1880s citizens in Tombstone, Arizona, Joyce had his hand in a number of deals; he even served as chairman for the Cochise County Board of Supervisors.
