Rowse’s 1+1 Ranch Burwell, Nebraska

What are you looking for in a ranch vacation? Do you want golf, yoga, spa days and all the attendant luxuries? Or are you looking to work cattle, have solid time in the saddle, and truly see what ranching is all about? If you’re looking for a true ranching experience in one of America’s unique landscapes, then Rowse’s 1+1 Ranch is what you’re looking for.

Set on the eastern edge of the Nebraska Sand Hills just outside the town of Burwell, the 1+1 Ranch is a true working ranch. Each day’s activities are largely decided by the needs of the cattle. You will spend several hours each day in the saddle, helping cowboys the work cattle, checking pastures, and roping and sorting. To do this work you need a good horse. You will be teamed up with a gentle, well-schooled quarter horse that will be yours to ride as you complete daily ranch work with the Rowses.

The 1+1 Ranch accommodates up to 10 adults at a time. This isn’t the ranch for everyone and children aren’t allowed. The reason for those restrictions is that 1+1 is a working cattle ranch, not a resort. If your idea of a perfect vacation is to go on head-to-tail trail rides or have your entire day scripted for you, Rowse’s 1+1 Ranch may not be the place for you. For the true ranching experience, choose Rowse’s 1+1 Ranch!
