8. Pueblo Grande Museum (Phoenix, Arizona)

An archaeological site museum and repository brings an ancient Hohokam village to contemporary Phoenix. Archaeology programs for children, petroglyph hikes, lectures and workshops, plus a food and craft fair, and Navajo rug and art auction, deliver something for everyone. Summer programs (“Hohokam Experience Summer” for future archaeologists ages 7 to 12; storytelling for ages 3 to 5) make the perfect summer break for children, and their parents.
