Jamaica Wild is a compassionate Bureau of Land Management resource protection agent stationed in New Mexico near the Pueblo Indian reservation.
When she witnesses the death of Jerome Santana during a buffalo stampede, she soon finds herself embroiled in a clash of Indian secrets as a few within the tribe try to blame the “White Girl” for Santana’s death. Witches, shamans, FBI agents, missing children, newspaper reporters, a Forest Service boyfriend and rescued wolf cubs create a flock of oddball characters who liven up this highly-entertaining tale of a self-sufficient heroine trying to understand Pueblo culture. —Phyllis Morreale-de la Garza
