New evidence appears to show that Vincent van Gogh did not commit suicide in July of 1890, but, in fact, was shot by a Buffalo Bill wannabe and probably by accident. Many now believe Vincent literally took the bullet for two brothers and martyred himself. He said a telling thing to his brother Theo before he died: “Do not cry.
