The Seven Rivers Warriors started off as a group of small ranchers around Lincoln County, NM. But when the Lincoln County War broke out, they went rogue, backing the Murphy-Dolan forces.  Led by Hugh Beckwith, the outfit included Beckwith’s brothers John and Bob and Deputy Sheriff Bob Olinger.

The Warriors were involved in several killings between 1876 and 1878 before they imploded, turning on each other.  By 1881, the survivors—for the most part—returned to ranching and similar pursuits.
