The authors claim this book contains the only complete list of songs surrounding all aspects of the Alamo. I wouldn’t know, but as I read this detailed account, while listening to the accompanying CD, I wouldn’t doubt it. From music of the time period to the music that followed in folk ballads, musicals, child tunes, Hollywood films and TV (Fess Parker writes the foreword), all are given great detail in this wonderful account. This book had to be a labor of love for the authors—one being a chronicler of the Beatles’ career, the other, the founder of the Alamo Society and author of several works regarding the Alamo. This coffee-table book is a great addition for any Alamo history buff.
