I’ve compiled this list of the Westerns top bad guys: James Best, Robert Wilke, Jack Elam, Lee Van Cleef, Claude Akins, Leo Gordon, Henry Silva, Ted de Corsia and Jack Palance. Who else would fit in with these guys?

Western movies have produced some great villains. Along with the ones you’ve listed here are some of my favorites: Bruce Dern, Warren Oates, Richard Boone, Strother Martin, Donald Pleasence, Walter Brennan, Lon Chaney Jr., Robert Mitchum, Eli Wallach and John Dehner.
I realize some of these actors weren’t perennial bad guys, but they did play classic villain roles.
