The author has spent a lifetime wandering the American West and Mexico. As one would imagine, he has seen and learned much in his travels. In this book, Jack Loeffler shares interviews he’s conducted with a variety of people of various positions across the American West, to gain insight on the future of the area. In conclusion, Loeffler writes, “I am convinced that biodiversity and cultural diversity are intertwined.” While the interviews are thoughtful, the overall approach is very dry.
