Dr. Joe Medicine Crow died on Sunday in Montana.  He was an amazing man–a medicine man, a war chief, a leader, a WWII vet and hero, a teacher, a historian.  And at 103 years of age, he was the last living link to the Battle of the Little Big Horn.
This was a True West piece from 2009, when he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Joe Medicine Crow was a treasure.
