New Museum for Ruidoso

A new museum opened in Ruidoso, New Mexico, last November. The Ruidoso River Museum is an eclectic collection put together by investor and part-time Ruidoso resident Arnold Duke. City Bank New Mexico is the corporate sponsor.

The museum houses an extensive collection of Lincoln County War items, including a gun and badge owned by Sheriff Pat Garrett. As far as eclectic goes, the museum also features collectibles owned by notables including Elvis Presley, Princess Di, Britney Spears and John Wayne.

The Ruidoso River Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Admission: $5 for adults and $2 for children.
