Liverpool native Frederick W. Nolan is not only one of the world’s foremost scholars on the American West—in fact he cofounded the English Westerners’ Society back in 1954—he’s also the go-to guy on all things pertaining to Billy the Kid and a contributing editor for True West.

Nolan has written a two-part docudrama on the Kid for a British company, Wilkinson Productions. The first half will be called “Birth of a Legend” and the conclusion, “Betrayal.” We’ll pass along more information as we receive it.
