On March 20, 1882,
Wyatt Earp gave Frank Stilwell a shotgun send-off. Doc Holliday and others added their two cents. Stilwell’s body, found the next morning, “was the worst shot up body I ever saw,” a local said. Earp left the state a fugitive.
