The Most Interesting Man in the World—at least the guy who played that character in the beer commercials—has a strong connection to Westerns.
His name is Jonathan Goldsmith, and he’s been a character actor for more than 50 years. He did guest spots on TV in The High Chaparral, The Wild Wild West, and Gunsmoke (14 episodes). But his real claim to fame? He was gunned down by both Clint Eastwood (in Hang ‘em High) and John Wayne (in The Shootist).
